Seniors Captain’s Message

Firstly I wish you all a happy 2021, let’s hope it allows us to return to normal especially on the Golf course, as my captaincy for 2020 was to say the least, one of nothing to report, a total blank in all areas.

Once more we look forward to our fixtures against clubs in the area and our Over 55 competitions. For the information of those who have not been a member of the Seniors’ Section before, there is a small yearly fee to pay which allows them to play in the matches against other clubs, if you are interested in joining the section please contact either Jim Harrington (Section Secretary), Geoff Hunter (Section Treasurer) or me, who will explain more about the section. (Over 55 Competitions can be entered by all members of the Gents. Section over 55)

As we are still awaiting the outcome of the present Lockdown I am unable to give a more optimistic outlook for the coming season.

Finally I am aware of a number of members and ex- members of the section who will not be re-joining the club this year for different reasons; I thank them all for their support in the past and wish them all the very best for the future.

I look forward to seeing old and new members in the coming months and wish you all good health.

Stay Safe, Denis
